Iloilo City is now a highly urbanized city, located on the south eastern tip of Panay island in the Philippines. It has an International Airport located in Cabatuan, Iloilo, 24 kilometers (15 miles) northwest of Iloilo City on a 188-hectare (460-acre) site making Iloilo accessible from the different major cities of the Philippines by plane. The Iloilo International airport is connected to Tomas Confesor Highway, a major highway connecting the different parts of Iloilo and Panay by road.
From the airport, one can take a shuttle bus for a fee per head which cost roughly around 60-80 pesos. The shuttle bus leaves every 15-20 minutes or until all the seats are fully accommodated. The bus will take you to SM City Iloilo for about 30 -45 minutes depending on the road traffic.
Iloilo City is also accessible by boat through the Port of Iloilo which serves the province and city of Iloilo and the entire Panay Island. The Port of Iloilo is considered as the safest natural seaports in the Philippines.
There are also ports which operates by connecting the people of Iloilo City and its neighbors from and to Guimaras Island and Negros.
